Hi all,
I have tried a couple of weeks ago to get some more detailed information on the possibility for MENA Microfinance to set up in the International Humanitarian City but it seems to be a very difficult exercise.
To date I have not received any response.
If any of you has tried successfully to set-up an entity in the IHC including for fundraising, please let me know how you have achieved that.
It is vital for MENA MicroFinance to be able to raise funds within its legal entity's jurisdiction and to be able to account for, very transparently, its usage of funds.
In a region where investors' confidence has been thoroughly shaken, corporate governance, including the facilitation of it within humanitarian entities should be the prime drive of all business hubs.
If things do not work out, MENA MicroFinance might have to set-up in Bahrain which could prove to be a fairly more expensive exercice at least at onset. It would be such a waste to have to dispense the meagre ressources on creating a legal entity where the money could actually already benefit the end users.
Anybody with ideas, welcome to chip in.
Thanks.
